Charities we support

Here at Car Synergy, we believe that it's our responsibility to give back to our local community, which is why we're committed to supporting charitable organisations in our local area to help those in need.

We're proud to have partnered with several charities over the years, including The Clothing Bank, which is an organisation dedicated to helping families in poverty who are struggling to afford to clothe themselves while meeting the costs of daily living.

The Clothing Bank collects high-quality unwanted clothing that would otherwise go to waste and distributes them to families in need. Last year, Car Synergy partnered with our sister company, Low Cost Car Credit, to donate a carport for The Clothing Bank to use as practical storage space. Thanks to our donation, The Clothing Bank was able to keep its donated clothing in good condition, expand its reach and help even more families in poverty.

While we're proud of the work we've done so far to help those in need, our charitable work doesn't end there. This year, we'll be partnering with even more worthy organisations to do our bit to help our local community. Our commitment isn't just to our customers, but also to our fellow Leeds residents. We take our role as a part of our community seriously here at Car Synergy, so that we can become an independent business our locals can trust.

The Clothing Bank was founded in 2020 by Susan Bell and Sally Parkinson, who realised that there was a widespread lack of support for people in society who find themselves on the brink of poverty, and since the coronavirus pandemic, this issue has become all the more prominent.

The founders wanted to help individuals who were struggling to clothe themselves and their families after having to pay the costs of daily living, so they initiated a campaign to gather good-quality unwanted clothes.

Susan and Sally began setting up clothing drop-off points between a couple of houses, sorting the garments they received in an alleyway. Thanks to an abundance of generous donations from the public, it was soon clear that more space would be needed.

Fortunately, Car Synergy and our sister company Low Cost Car Credit were able to assist by donating a car port for The Clothing Bank to use as a storage space.

Clothing Bank

This enabled the charitable team to accept more clothing and keep items in good condition ready to be used by individuals who needed them. The Clothing Bank has provided quality clothing to thousands of people, and the charity organisation continues to grow!

What can you do to help?
